Waiting for spring

Dear readers,

I cannot express how much I missed writing to you and being on the blog. It's been a really long time since I haven't posted anything again because of school of course but now that I'm on a vacation I have a lot of things to share with you.

Well last time I posted, I showed you some events and I was also making a challenge to eat healthy and lose weight which didn't really work and I even gained more kilos but I finally decided to hit the gym and this time I'm determined to do it ( enough is enough ) and I guess the main reason, was that I was lazy especially because of cold weather, which brings us to the next subject. Spring is coming soon and I am so happy spring and summer are my favorite seasons so I will be doing a giant spring cleaning this year, I have a lot of things to throw that I haven't been using for years because I liked to collect things since everything I have has a story behind and sometimes not, I just get attached to things a little bit too mych and people too, sometimes... Anyway, I am so excited to start my spring cleaning next month, how about you?

If you've been wondering what I've been doing these last months, then here you go:

Rita Saaidi, Symbolic identity, 2014.

So I created a self-portrait based on some researches about expressionism, it was not the first time that I tried to draw myself but this time I knew exactly what I wanted to express and which was not the appearance or my best features.

For this illustration workshop, we made animals from letters. It was a fun week we also created small stories for each one:

This is something that I would like to do more often.

Later, in photography class I created what I called the different states of souls of a woman which is a series of portraits done in black and white describing women fighting their emotions and trying to cope with some of them.

Sorry for the bad quality this is the only picture of the work once it was done.

Then we started doing some sketching inside and outside the school and it was so fun, we got to visit (or in my case revisit) some amazing places like Saadian tombs and Ben Youssef Medersa, too bad I didn't have the time to take a lot of pictures.

Well this is almost everything, I tried to show you as many things as possible and talk to you about what I've been doing. I'll try to show you more things next time.

Let me know what you think. Xoxo
