Dear readers,

Today I will be talking to you about something that everyone should be aware of nowadays. I would like to start by stating that life is not a movie.
Movies has given us all kind of wrong images about everything starting with the attractive rich and extremely nice guy that will run to you, and catch you at the train station or at the airport and about happy endings. Which can be a bit different in real life, the things that causes a lot of disappointment and regrets to  most of us.
Television has given us the illusion of the perfect girl who is so beautiful, so feminine, so thin, so shy  and also kind of bitchy. The list of the offensive stereotypes that movies and TV affect us with is so long but I would like to clear one thing.

First of all, NO girl wakes up with a perfect hair, mascara and lipgloss on. And if she does she must not be a human. No girl is flawless ( sorry beyonce ) the things we see in movies and also magazines affected us and made everyone trying to look as perfect as these people. And if perfect is fake then it doesn't exist and I have to say that boys are more affected by this than girls which is really sad and pathetic. Everyday, I can hear them critic how a girl's waist is not well defined, or how her boobs are not big enough, or how she is so short or so tall, or that she is so fat or so skinny, how her hair is so short or that isn't soft. I even read the other day an article where a man is complaining about the fact that his wife is not so pretty and that she has hair on her body. So moronic I would say.
And to end this I want to say that we are not the problem gentlemen, you are. And don't consider this as an attack, I have to admit that some guys are completely aware of this and I would like to applaud them.

Second of all, some movies can be a bad influence on people especially the young ones. They make everything seem good, no matter if you stop going to school or you get pregnant at a young age, or you run away from home or even if you go to prison. No, not everything is approved and tolerable. You should learn to make a difference between the good and the bad, because unlike the movies, they're will be consequences.

And lastly, from my own experience you should be independent, because if you depend on someone they will see it as a weakness and take you for granted. Wear make up because you like it not because you want to please someone, dress well because you want to not because you want to please others or get attention, do something for someone because you want to not because you feel like you have to. And if you feel rejected because you're doing things this way, don't feel bitter. It's not you, it's them.

I hope this article helped a little,
Xoxo.
